The LBCC Board of Trustees, President Eloy Oakley and other administrators set goals to enhance the future overall experience during an annual retreat and study session Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1.

The retreat began Monday evening with dinner at Ristorante Da Vinci where LBCC administrators and trustees discussed the changing demographic of Long Beach with city Manager Pat West, consultant Jack Humphrey and other members of the Long Beach community. The retreat continued Tuesday morning in the I building at the LAC.

Trustees discussed the accreditation process and select contractors for future bond projects.

Board of Trustees Vice President Jeffrey Kellog said, "It's a good environment to sit down and have some open discussion about whether or not we are reaching our goals."

The 2007 retreat was conducted entirely off campus and cost about $1,600.
