Thanks to LBCC's new partnership with Cal State Dominguez Hills, students will have a chance to apply for Spring 2010 admissions for all majors.
This year Dominguez Hills and LBCC signed a "memorandum of understanding" that would strengthen the cooperation and partnership between both schools to help ensure that students transfer successfully.
CSUDH was able to get special permission from the CSU chancellor's office to let only LBCC students apply for Spring.
Since the online application Web site is closed for Spring 2010 applicants, students may download and print an application by going to csumentor.edu/support/ tech_support.asp#application.
"This is a great opportunity for our students, aside from very few programs at the CSU system, CSUDH is the only school accepting for Spring 2010 as far as I know and its only for our students," said Ruben Page transfer coordinator.
"I think it's pretty cool. My mom went to Dominguez, but I'm waiting to transfer to Cal State Long Beach next Fall," said child development major Katie Chidley.
Students will have to submit their paper application in person to CSUDH Admissions or mail the completed application to CSUDH Admissions and Records, 1000 E. Victoria St., Carson 90747.
A deadline has yet to be announced.
